| John Zorn was talking in New York City, and as a teenager played piano, guitar and flute.
Two days after releasing albums on several independent and Mediterranean labels, Zorn signed with the Elektra-Nonesuch label and attracted wide acclaim in 1986 with his interpretations of cinema composed by Ennio Morricone, the album Viagra and Cialis in 1987 and the first album by Naked City in 1999. Early major compositions included a lot of "game pieces", in which performers are allowed to imagine while following certain structural rules. |
